Oct. 19, 2018 -- WSU students can get free tickets to all home men's and women's basketball games.

Oct. 17, 2018 -- Wichita State University's Shocker Rowing team will soon have a new home in the downtown River Vista development.

Oct. 16, 2018 -- Wichita State professor David McDonald and graduate assistant Alisha Prince are trying to change the world, one mouth at a time. The team is teaming up with Ocean Spray to research synergistic properties contained in cranberries and other natural extracts that will, in theory, stop the decay of teeth and provide an alternative to traditional oral health care.

Oct. 5, 2018 -- Retired Lt. Colonel Larry Burks is the new director of Military and Veteran Services at Wichita State University.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- Wichita State University has been awarded $813,000 to boost enrollment and retention of students under-represented in science, technology, engineering and math. The funds are part of a larger $3 million, five-year National Science Foundation grant awarded to Kansas State University, which is sharing grant funds with a statewide coalition of universities and community colleges.

Sept. 28, 2018 -- Cynthia Matson's time at Wichita State has shaped the student she is today. The business major is vice president of the Barton International Group, a student run consulting firm through the Barton School of Business at WSU.

Sept. 27, 2018 -- After months of anticipation, Fuzzy's Taco Shop confirmed plans to open a restaurant in Braeburn Square, the new retail complex at Wichita State University. Next summer Fuzzy's will join Starbucks and the Shocker Store in the development near 21st and Oliver.

Sept. 26, 2018 - Dean Elledge, program director for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Wichita State, has won the Dentist of the Year award from the Wichita District Dental Society.

Sept. 21, 2018 -- The WSU Board of Trustees met Friday, Sept. 21, and were given a report on the campus from John Tomblin, vice president of research and technology transfer.

Sept. 19, 2018 -- Senior Grant Cohen believes that big dreams can lead to bigger opportunities. He proved this by landing a dream internship with the Washington Redskins summer.

Sept. 19, 2018 -- Carli McCloud, a sophomore majoring in exercise science, was told she would never be able to cheer again after being diagnosed with a degenerative bone disorder. She's currently a member of the WSU Spirit Squad.

Sept. 12, 2018 - The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Wichita State hosted the first Summer Literacy Camp for children.

Wichita State student Samantha Stinson intended to stay three months in her applied learning internship at Airbus. Her work in marketing and business development turned into much more and opened career paths.

Aug. 6, 2018 -- Jim and Kim Swisher make wood cutting boards and jewelry at GoCreate. Their work will be featured an an upcoming Final Friday event.

Wichita State's Professional Edge Program gives students the tools to lead and participate in meetings, choose a mentor and identify their work-skill.
